Painter - 3rd Shift

SUMMARY: Apply paint to manufactured product in a way that meets or exceed job related expectations for safety, quality, reliability, and environmental management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Read and interpret drawings and routings to determine appropriate paint.

2. Mix, agitate, and dispense paint.

3. Clean, setup and adjust pumps, agitators, regulators, spray guns.

4. Adjust application process, equipment and materials being applied to achieve required appearance as specified by color targets, production step offs and verbal instruction.

5. Use process monitoring equipment including thickness gauges, gloss meters, viscosity cups, air cap gauges, temperature sensors, calipers and tape measures.

6. Review/monitor/and share feedback with supervisor related to processes.

7. Use hand tools or machines to complete projects.

8. Troubleshoot paintline machinery.

9. Perform equipment change-overs.

10. Responsible for quality control.

11. Complete daily production logs.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Three to six months related experience or a combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have experience in using the following tools, Pliers, Hammer, Tape Measure, Screwdriver, and Ratchet and Sockets. Associate must have proven skills in understanding internal and external customer concepts and end user quality expectations.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT:

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level is determined in the company s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
