*Internal Step Progression - Welder G2S3 3rd shift


1. Ability to square up and weld various geometries of components

2. Ability to weld Stainless and aluminum.

3. Understands various weld form symbols

4. Ability to weld vertical, horizontal, flat and overhead welds

5. Ability to accurately read tape measure and blue prints.

6. Understand the process of prepping for finish by checking for pinholes in the weld, weld spatter on the part and eliminating sharp edges

7. Ability to inspect finished product, parts or units for conformance to print and all clean up detail

8. Maintain assigned area and equipment in safe and functional order

9. Ability to weld black carbon steel (limited need)

10. Welders may provide cross-functional fabricator duties as assigned

11. Perform operator daily PM on tools and equipment.

12. May be required to operate fork truck.

13. Perform Daily housekeeping / 6S.

14. Ability to pass initial weld test per Metals Pre-Qualify Weld Test Form XXXX-XXX-XX

  • Prefer one to three years related manufacturing experience.

  • Previous weld experience is required.


  • Must be able to read, speak and write English


  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.

  • Ability to count and ability to measure equipment using a tape measure


  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to distinguish colors

  • Ability to read blue prints mandatory


Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the attendance policy stated in the company s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
