PlayPower is hiring a Production Supervisor on 2nd Shift.

Supervises production employees with respect to production, distribution, volume, cost, quality and achievement of production plans.
Assures, through Manufacturing Leads, good employee relations. May conduct employee meetings, approves requisitions, promotions, merit increases, transfers and discipline.
Responsible for selection, hiring and development of Production employees. Recommends merit increases, promotions and transfers.
Stimulates maximum efficiency and productivity of both Manufacturing Leads and production employees. Assures efficient utilization of equipment and facilities.
Coordinates activities within his/her area with those of other production areas, plant staff managers and division. In conjunction with Production Control may develop weekly schedules to meet customer requirements. 
In conjunction with Manufacturing Leads, establishes goals and objectives for assigned departments for review by Value Stream Manager.
Assures compliance with Company and Plant policies, health and safety standards, environmental regulations, hazardous waste, and good housekeeping practices.
Assures proper maintenance of machines and equipment in area of responsibility. Coordinates longer term planning for major maintenance projects.
Assures compliance with quality and process specifications.
Maintains the security of products and assets in area of responsibility
Participates in base plan presentation. Continuously reviews ongoing performance within area of responsibility and takes action to assure achievement of goals.
Recommends improvements in equipment and processes. Coordinates, manages and evaluates the installation of new equipment or processes in area of responsibility.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across business units, departments, and various levels of management.   
Communicates delivery and/or product issues to prevent delays on the production floor.
Supports (being a part of and / or leading) continuous improvement initiatives.
by adhering to company ISO processes and the organization's safety, quality, environmental standards and policies. By supporting the Quality initiatives and leading root cause, corrective and preventative action implementation for said issues.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Preferred 3+ years' experience in manufacturing
Proficiency using Microsoft Suite and ERP systems (experience with Syteline systems is extremely beneficial); above average skills in Excel
Understanding of ISO 9001, 5S, and TQM
Experience with lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma)
Excellent communicator both verbally and written
Highly detail-oriented
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Proven experience in and deep knowledge of production

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
