PlayPower has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Director located in our manufacturing headquarters in Monett, Missouri.
Summary of the Position
The Director of Human Resources, North America is responsible for directing all of the people functions of the corporation in accordance with the company policies, laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations. They will manage and provide technical expertise by partnering with management regarding the fair and consistent development and implementation of policies and guidelines in all Human Resources related functions including:
employee relations, conflict resolutions, recruiting and staffing, EEO/AAP reporting, discipline, and workers compensation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Partner with members of the management team focusing on attracting, motivating and retaining employees.
Oversee all compensation and benefits programs with the assistance of outside advisors, including self-insured healthcare plan, 401k plan, sales incentive plans, and profit sharing plans
Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.
Provide technical expertise to management regarding interpretation and implementation of personnel policies, procedures, legal guidelines and benefits.
Assist senior management team with resolution of often sensitive and unique problems and conflicts while ensuring consistent and equitable implementation of policies and procedures.
Provide strong, results oriented leadership and coaching to the HR team to continually provide best in class service to the organization.
Assess organizational needs, develops and conducts training programs relating to Human Resources for managers, supervisors and employees.
Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and assist with developing solutions in areas such as safety, turnover, employee satisfaction.
Oversee the human resource information system.
Lead recruiting efforts with Managers to fill open positions in all functional areas
Establishes relationships with community resources including colleges and local agencies.
Manage the budget and other financial measures of the Human Resources Department.
Continue improving programs, policies, practices and business processes.
Oversee the administration of workers compensation to ensure we meet our objectives of a safe work environment while maintaining appropriate costs.
Work directly with safety team to assist in the formulation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with all regulations.
Develop and drive a culture enabling PlayPower to be best in class and an employer of choice.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree and/or
Minimum of 7 years management level HR experience
Must have experience in a manufacturing environment
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
Must be able to relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. Capable of presenting and persuading on issues as both the voice of the employees and the voice of the Company.
A high-energy, outgoing leader that is comfortable presenting to large groups in formal and informal settings
An excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute.
A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail oriented perspective.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy team environment.
Excellent computer skills to include HRIS and Microsoft Office.
HR Certification strongly preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
