PEOPLESOFT ADMINISTRATOR
Jack Henry and Associates is seeking a PeopleSoft Administrator. This position will work under general supervision, to administer database, web, application and batch process servers, with a primary focus on setup, configuration monitoring and management of PeopleSoft systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains several database and PeopleSoft environments: applies updates, maintenance packs, patches and fixes for all environments.
Experience with one or more of the following Oracle PeopleSoft system database, web, and application servers is desired:
Finance
HR
CRM
Hyperion
Performs application upgrades.
Maintains and manages database reporting infrastructure. Participates in design.
Monitors server performance and recommends changes as needed.
Works closely with developers, support and QA teams to maintain all DB and PeopleSoft environments.
Refreshes databases as needed by developers or functional teams.
Performs database administration activities including; installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, security, database backup and recovery and disaster recovery.
May perform installation, configurations and maintenance for clustered database servers.
Plans and performs PeopleSoft upgrades.
Writes and reviews stored procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Database, Network, or Systems administration experience or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with PeopleSoft system Administration
Bachelors Degree
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization. Works on moderately complex and diverse projects. Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Able to design databases according to industry standards and make tuning recommendations.
Provide technical support for PeopleSoft and SQL Server issues.
Able to write and optimize complex queries.
Advanced knowledge of database administration, PeopleSoft system administration, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and systems analysis procedures.
Strong working knowledge of database software and operating systems.
Strong communication, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in development process. Strong presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
